About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain competency in servicing pharmacy customers, including obtaining and recording demographic information, data entry, and cashiering.
  • Dispense and deliver medications, utilizing departmental information systems and technology.
  • Process insurance and third-party billing functions, including data entry, prior authorizations, and error correction.
  • Provide clinical support, including DIR fees and diabetic footwear sales.
  • Float between multiple Aurora Pharmacy locations, promoting seamless workflow and patient care.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or Pharmacy Technician Certified (ExCPT) within 2 years.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • No experience required, but basic computer skills and good mathematic skills are essential.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift, and perform various physical tasks. You must also be able to deliver medications via patient-preferred mode and travel between locations.
