As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including manual and automated routine blood tests, preparing specimens for microscope examination, and operating laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automated routine blood tests, including centrifugation, hematology, and chemistry tests.
  • Prepare specimens for microscope examination, including staining and slide preparation.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, including prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and quality control.

Requirements:

  • MLT: Associated Degree from an accredited college or university in a Laboratory Field, such as Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
  • MT-BS degree from an accredited college or university required in Medical Technology, with a degree in Medical Technology or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
  • ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field, including laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures.
