Overview:

As a Flight Nurse with Air Methods, you will play a crucial role in providing life-saving medical transport to the community. With a minimum of 36 months of experience in a busy ICU, ER, Flight, or Critical Care Transport setting within the last 5 years, your expertise will be invaluable.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize the care needed for the safe transport of the critical patient to the appropriate facility.
• Provide high-quality critical care, including assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by Air Methods Community Base Services (CBS) Medical Director(s).
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation and communicate with the medical team to ensure seamless care.
• Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure the safe transport of critical patients to the appropriate medical facility.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelors degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/ local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus.
