Position Overview:
PlanITROI is in search of a highly responsible and detail-oriented Receiving Manager to lead our receiving department. The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of management experience in a dynamic IT asset disposition (ITAD) re-manufacturing or consumer returns environment. This individual will set a strong example, guiding all operations within the receiving department with a focus on safety, compliance, and inventory oversight. This is an onsite role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate all activities related to the receiving team, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage and verify all incoming shipments, including validating Bills of Lading (BOL) for accuracy in pallet and piece counts.
- Authorize BOLs in accordance with company policy, ensuring proper verification processes are followed.
- Supervise the unloading of shipments from incoming vehicles, ensuring appropriate handling and processing.
- Generate orders for non-economical assets or recyclable materials.
- Ensure accurate weighing and labeling of pallets, maintaining precise records in the inventory management system.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on received shipments to confirm they meet established quality standards.
- Distribute tasks and manage workloads for team members based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and product categories.
- Ensure all receiving processes comply with established SLAs for various product types.
- Verify received items against purchase orders to confirm accuracy in material and quantity.
- Document all receiving procedures to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Train and mentor receiving team members on proper protocols, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Assign units to appropriate warehouse locations and manage transactions using RF scanners.
- Maintain clear aisles and docks, adhering to safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and R2V3 regulations and procedures.
- Lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Receiving Manager.
- 3-5 years of familiarity with computer hardware, IT assets, and ITAD processes.
- 3-5 years of experience managing a team of 5-10 employees.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and R2 regulations.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.
- Forklift certification is required.
