Job Summary

The Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in ensuring the quality of our products.

This role is responsible for conducting tests and monitoring the quality of all products, as well as serving as a liaison between the plant and Central Lab.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic chemistry and be able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing profiles on production finished materials and on product purchases and shipments per Company standards.
  • Obtaining, packaging, and shipping samples for testing to Central Lab.
  • Submitting test results to Supervisor, General Manager, and Plant Manager.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, safety, and HACCP regulations.
  • Performing quality analyses on finished products.
  • Maintaining lab, materials, and work area in clean condition.
  • Maintaining safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.

Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One year prior lab experience required, with demonstrated understanding of basic chemistry.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relatable field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Physical demands include frequently walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching, as well as occasionally pushing, pulling, moving, or lifting 50 lbs.

Work environment will be carried out in an office, lab, or plant environment.
