Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations effectively.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations, procedures, and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
  • Assist in the educational training of students, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their development.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and preceptor skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
