Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes Barre. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain related records and notations.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Assist in the educational training of students.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
