House Attendant Position Overview

The House Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hotel's guest rooms and common areas. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for providing housekeepers with the necessary items to clean guest rooms, restocking carts, and performing more labor-intensive tasks such as flipping mattresses and hanging pictures. You will also work closely with hotel supervisors to ensure that all room accessories and electronics are in working order.

Responsibilities
  • Uphold and model the company's principles of People, Place, and Character, ensuring a collaborative and intuitive work environment
  • Maintain and clean hotel areas behind the scenes, assisting housekeepers as needed
  • Clean hallways, floors, and doorways, and take out the trash
  • Assist with linen removal and other tasks as required

Requirements
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field
  • A flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • A passion for cleanliness and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and requirements
  • Conversational proficiency in English to receive and execute verbal and written communication and direction
  • Adaptable interpersonal communication skills to address employees at all levels of the hotel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods to meet high volume business
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 25 lbs. to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, etc.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs. to transport mattresses, inventory, equipment, etc.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize guest rooms, spaces, storage, equipment, etc.
