The Logistics Coordinator is a key member of the Ring Precision team, responsible for managing the logistics operations related to the shipping, receiving, and exporting of goods. This role ensures that products are handled efficiently and in compliance with regulations, from receipt through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics Operations
- Manage the shipment of finished products to customers and distribution centers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Process proper packaging of items to customers' specifications, including etching of materials, hot plastic dip, individual wrapping, etc.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments possess a work order packing slip.
- Inventory Management
- Manage the receiving process for incoming materials and products, inspecting shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to manage inventory flow and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Export Compliance
- Prepare and process export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Liaise with customs brokers and government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
- Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.
- Skills
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.

Controlled temperature environments
