Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, your duties will encompass:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Spearhead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of ship HM&E or electronic system projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize extensive knowledge of power generation and auxiliary machinery systems to provide technical direction and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships essential for project success.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and challenges, developing strategies to mitigate them and ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenditures to ensure financial integrity.
  • Team Leadership: Guide cross-functional project teams, promoting a collaborative environment and providing mentorship to team members.
  • Quality Control: Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of superior ship systems.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular updates on project status to senior management, emphasizing key achievements and challenges.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience with the U.S. Navy.
  • Capability to obtain a DBIDS access credential.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Experience in AIT and industrial execution and planning support.
  • Ability to manage and direct program and project initiatives effectively.
  • Experience in leading and supervising project teams.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting and transporting equipment.
  • Able to work in various environmental conditions, including aboard ships and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
