Responsibilities:- Collect and document patient information to efficiently triage patients based on illness acuity and office processes.
- Provide medical advice to patients with acute/chronic health conditions, as directed by the provider.
- Offer patient education on illnesses/diagnoses, symptom management, medications, and treatment plans.
- Assist care teams with telephone encounters and return calls to patients.
- Transfer calls to appropriate staff/care teams.
- Assist with medication prior authorizations and medication refills.
- Administer nebulizers, medications, and vaccines according to the childhood immunization table.
- Document encounters and decision-making in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a concise and accurate manner, utilizing the patient's own words as appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completed an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
- Active and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of MA.
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations within 25 miles.
