Job Summary

The Grady Health System is seeking an experienced OB Fetal Monitoring Safety RN to join our team. As a key member of the labor and delivery team, you will provide critical care to obstetric patients by analyzing fetal heart rate tracings and identifying potential concerns.

This role requires a strong understanding of fetal monitoring and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate nurse with a minimum of two years of experience in labor and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in fetal monitoring, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing fetal heart rate tracings, identifying concerning patterns, and escalating issues to healthcare providers as needed. You will also work closely with the bedside team to provide additional support and guidance on fetal monitoring and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review fetal heart rate tracings and identify concerning patterns
  • Analyze vital signs and laboratory results to inform patient care decisions
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate interventions
  • Provide education and support to the bedside team on fetal monitoring and patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Georgia nursing license
  • Minimum two years of experience in labor and delivery
  • Completion of AWHONN advanced fetal monitoring course within the last two years
  • Certification through NCC as RNC-EFM or obtain within six months of hire
