About the Role

Pediatric Developmental Services is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and execute tailored educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues and Families: Communicate effectively with other staff members and family members to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Design and Deliver Lesson Plans: Prepare and submit detailed lesson plans for approval, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Attend scheduled IEP meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Implement Reinforcement Techniques: Utilize individualized reinforcement methods to promote student growth and achievement.
  • Conduct Progress Reports: Create and distribute quarterly progress reports to keep families informed of student progress.
  • Maintain a Safe and Productive Classroom Environment: Establish a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree/Certification in Special Education: Possess a master's degree or certification in special education.
  • Experience Working with K-12 Children: Have experience working with students in the K-12 age range.
