SUMMARY OF DUTIES: A Retail Sales Representative actively implements retail strategies, upholds in-store standards, and addresses issues at the store level promptly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
  • Primarily focused on enhancing sales and maximizing order potential by effectively executing in-store strategies and ensuring timely communication regarding issues and opportunities;
  • Arrange and rearrange merchandise in accordance with the approved layout (Plan O Gram) provided by the Store Manager or Merchandising Manager;
  • Carry out basic merchandising tasks, including timely updates of store order tags, replacing worn pegs, and maintaining adequate inventory of merchandising supplies;
  • Assemble or disassemble, install, and determine appropriate placement for racks and store fixtures to enhance profitability for both the customer and the company;
  • Transport goods, unload, and organize merchandise within the store;
  • Ensure accurate merchandising and shelf labeling in existing accounts, removing outdated items and introducing new products;
  • Maintain appropriate locations for racks and store fixtures and ensure sufficient quantities are available for shipment;
  • Responsible for achieving sales and profit goals through timely execution of in-store strategies;
  • When applicable, identify potential new clients through regular and timely referrals to the business development team;
  • Report marketplace needs and changes to the Sales Support Manager and Business Development personnel;
  • Execute all directives as mandated by management and the company;
  • Attend sales support meetings and specified company events;
  • Regularly engage in activities away from the company's primary locations;
  • Maintain a reliable vehicle and uphold the required level of insurance to fulfill job responsibilities;
  • Arrive on time for work, meetings, and scheduled business activities, completing tasks competently as directed by management.
All personnel in this role may be subject to cross-training within the organization based on company needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands of this position involve light physical activity and somewhat strenuous tasks that must be met by the employee to successfully perform essential functions. Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to touch, handle, or feel. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing essential functions. The employee may occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions and in wet, humid environments. The noise level is moderate.
