About the Job

The Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technician plays a crucial role in our healthcare team, utilizing specialized equipment to locate brain abnormalities under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine the most appropriate approach to an EEG procedure.
  • Screen for contraindications to elements of EEG, including hyperventilation, photic stimulation, or other special needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of scientific and mathematical principles underlying EEG technology.
  • Perform the procedure for recording EEG.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an approved AMA training program or on-the-job training with documentation.
  • Certifications: Current BLS/CPR training.
  • One year experience in EEG setting with adult, child, and newborn.
  • Epic experience is a plus.
