About the Job

The Electroencephalographic (EKG) Technician plays a vital role in our team at Southern New Hampshire Health, utilizing specialized equipment to locate brain abnormalities under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine the most appropriate approach to an EKG procedure.
  • Screen for contraindications to elements of EKG, including hyperventilation, photic stimulation, or other special needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of scientific and mathematical principles underlying EKG technology.
  • Perform the procedure for recording EKG.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Cardiac Devices is essential.
  • Completion of an approved AMA training program or on-the-job training with documentation.
  • Certifications: Current BLS/CPR training.
  • Epic experience is a plus.
