Job Title: Senior Regulatory Accounting Analyst

At NV Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Accounting Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial statements and regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory earned rate of return, earnings sharing calculations, and revenue requirement calculations in compliance with regulations and Commission directives.
  • Prepare and review fuel and purchased power recovery mechanisms and required filings, as well as complete various state and FERC reporting requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of regulatory statements, adjustments, analyses, and supporting testimony in compliance with all regulatory regulations and requirements.
  • Apply experience and principles, theories, and concepts to resolve moderately complex pricing, financial, economic, regulatory, or legislative issues.
  • Contribute to pricing and regulatory decisions that impact Company policy and revenues.
  • Work independently and receive minimal guidance, providing work direction and technical assistance to less experienced team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance, or a related field from an accredited school and 4 years of related experience.
  • Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of utility, regulatory theory, and quantitative modeling.
  • Skills in analytical, problem-solving, planning, time management, verbal and written communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to utilize various modeling, analytical, accounting, monitoring, or reporting software.
  • Prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Benefits:
  • Annual Salary: $87,600 (Min) to $103,100 (Mid); Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company.
