Part-time position with a balanced schedule of alternating weeks for day and evening shifts.

Role Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: Deliver exceptional and patient-focused medical care within the field of Hospital Medicine. The role primarily involves a week on, week off work pattern.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates must possess the capability (with or without reasonable adjustments) to execute the following tasks:
  • Deliver dedicated inpatient medical care.
  • Offer efficient, cost-effective medical services to unassigned hospitalized patients referred to the organization, adhering to established policies, as well as to patients referred from emergency services and various medical practices.
  • Engage with patients to ascertain the suitable treatment pathway.
  • Advise and prescribe diagnostic tests to evaluate the severity of illness or assist in identifying conditions.
  • Oversee laboratory results, ensure medication compliance, and monitor for potential medication-related issues.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks are considered supplementary to the primary responsibilities outlined above:
  • Provide clinical education and training to residents, medical students, and staff on topics related to Internal Medicine.
  • Represent the practice in hospital committees, ensuring equitable distribution of meeting attendance among physicians.
  • Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of new medical professionals and staff.
  • Attend designated meetings as required by the Medical Director.
  • Obtain necessary continuing medical education credits and maintain certification status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
  • Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Must be a healthcare provider in good standing with relevant federal and state health insurance programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in Hospital Medicine.
