Key Responsibilities- Round on and review assigned patients regularly to evaluate their progress and develop a plan of care.
- Communicate the plan of care to patients and their families, soliciting concerns, questions, and issues for resolution.
- Provide emotional support, counseling, and clinical education to patients and families to promote their understanding and participation in the healthcare process.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, and community resources to coordinate and maximize resources.
- Assist patients and families with resolving financial, psycho-social, functional, and administrative issues by advising on options and referring to appropriate resources.
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant life support certification.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
