Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Select Medical. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical and preventative tasks, as well as performing inspections, services, repairs, and overhauls on equipment of the hospital as directed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general mechanical and preventative tasks to ensure the safe operation of hospital equipment
  • Conduct inspections, services, repairs, and overhauls on equipment as directed
  • Install new equipment and systems as assigned, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Coordinate and inspect projects to ensure quality standards are met and compliance with city/state codes and JACHO
  • Carry out routine and specific assignments to ensure the physical plant and assigned equipment are in safe operating condition and compliant with hospital policies and regulatory codes
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required
  • Trade or vocational school background preferred
