Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at UNC Health. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings to plan patient care, discuss family education plans, and discharge plans.
  • Precept PT technicians or other physical therapist assistants and evaluate their competency.
  • Document patient treatment and progress toward goals, completing department records for billing and statistics.
  • Instruct physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students.
  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to patients, designing and teaching exercise programs to meet PT goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives with the clinical specialist and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification.
