Program Therapist

At Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Therapist to join our team. As a Program Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of individuals and families in need.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in team treatment meetings to represent the therapeutic needs and goals of assigned patients.
- Perform psychosocial assessments on assigned geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients.
- Complete indicated treatment plans using clinical information provided through the multidisciplinary assessment process.
- Meet with patients to discuss treatment plan goals, define discharge criteria and plans, complete family sessions, and assess level of patient risk.
- Provide daily group therapy to geriatric, adult, and adolescent populations as scheduled.
- Serve as a liaison between team members and involved social service agencies and ensure a clinically appropriate aftercare plan is in place.
- Education & Licensure: Licensed CADC. Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred. Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional or in the process of obtaining a mental health license or in a master's program in the mental health field.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and have strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements: CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
