The Bay Correctional Facility is seeking educators committed to transforming lives through education.
Key Responsibilities: Instructors will deliver educational programs to inmates, adhering to established curricula and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Primary Duties:
- Design and implement classes in Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED), life skills, cultural awareness, health education, and other relevant subjects.
- Create tailored lesson plans and activities suited to the specific needs of the inmate population.
- Employ appropriate teaching materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Administer educational assessments and utilize results for personalized instruction.
- Engage in collaborative discussions to enhance educational offerings.
- Provide guidance and support to inmates facing academic challenges.
Qualifications:
A degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Candidates must possess or be eligible for the necessary state certifications or licenses. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining these credentials. A valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required unless exempted by management.
Post-Hire Requirements:
Completion of annual training is mandatory.
