Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Activity Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the physical and emotional well-being of our patients.

Job Summary:

The Activity Therapist will work under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager for Day Treatment to develop and implement a variety of activities that promote physical and emotional well-being in our patients. This includes art, music, games, video, drama, movement, sports, crafts, dance, and relaxation techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement group content aligned with the program philosophy and governing evidenced-based practices.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide therapy services in group sessions or individually, as needed.
  • Model Dayton Children's values through effective interaction with patients, families, and treatment team members.
Requirements:
  • Certification in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist.
  • 2-5 years of experience in pediatric behavioral health, preferably on inpatient units.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.
