Job Summary:

The Activity Therapist will work with day treatment patients to improve their physical and emotional well-being through various activities such as art, music, games, and relaxation techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize group content aligned with the program philosophy and governing evidenced-based practices.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care.
  • Provide services in group sessions or individually, requiring certification in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in inpatient pediatric behavioral health units.
  • Customer service skills and previous experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certification in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist.
  • Board Certified Art Therapists (ATR-BC), Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, or other relevant certifications.
