Job Summary:

The Project Manager at Honda Aircraft Company is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of aircraft programs, ensuring timely completion of milestones and adherence to company schedules. This role requires strong coordination and execution skills, with a focus on cross-functional projects impacting technical and business aspects of new aircraft development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage integrated program/project schedules and certification activities.
  • Interface with various departments, including Sales, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Flight Test, and Finance, to ensure company milestones are met according to program requirements and schedule.
  • Design and implement tools, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive-level transparency into program performance and execution.
  • Lead coordination of program meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Own risk, action, issue, and decision logs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or aviation-related technical field from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience.
  • Working experience in airplane development and/or aerospace program management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of engineering, production, supplier, and certification processes within the aviation industry.
  • Experience in airplane development.
  • Knowledge of business aviation industry.
  • Fundamental understanding of program/project management processes and procedures.
  • Program and project management certifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Excellent executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an integrated product team to resolve technical, business, and customer issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners and throughout all levels within an organization.
