Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Storage Solutions Engineer within the Cloud Infrastructure Storage team, you will collaborate with a skilled group of storage professionals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing cloud infrastructure storage services and automation tools that are well-documented and testable.
  • Contributing to the orchestration of workflows utilizing the ServiceNow platform.
  • Creating test plans and automating tests for cloud infrastructure storage.
  • Implementing new storage systems and overseeing a global network of storage arrays.
  • Addressing and resolving complex storage issues in collaboration with ServiceNow partners.
  • Ensuring that storage capacity, reliability, and performance requirements are met efficiently.
  • Working with various technical teams, including vendor support, to troubleshoot issues and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Refining processes and procedures to enhance efficiency within the storage environment.
  • Continuously learning about emerging cloud and storage technologies.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in S3-compatible object storage, NVMeoF block storage, and NFSv3/v4 network-attached storage.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade storage hardware from leading manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of data deduplication and compression methodologies.
  • Expertise in the provisioning lifecycle of storage resources.
  • Strong command of Red Hat Linux and CentOS, with proficiency in command-line operations.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware ESXi.
  • A broad understanding of Flash Storage solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and server architecture.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and version control systems like Git.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, particularly with Bash.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Understanding of dashboard and report development using tools like Grafana and Splunk.
  • Experience in capacity planning.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service and problem-solving.
