Position Overview

Job Title: Straight Truck Driver

Department: Operations

Reports To: Transportation Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

As a Straight Truck Driver, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting daily safety inspections on all equipment.
  • Operating vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Immediately reporting any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries.
  • Delivering products to clients in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Adjusting routes as necessary to optimize time and resource usage.
  • Proactively managing driving schedules and time.
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch regarding customer stops and scheduled appointments.
  • Utilizing a pallet jack as required.
Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of traffic regulations and defensive driving techniques.
  • A valid Class B Driver's License.
  • A current DOT Medical Certificate.
  • A minimum of two years of experience operating a straight truck.
