Job Summary

The Control Technician position plays a crucial role in ensuring the College's infrastructure and systems operate efficiently and safely. This role involves scheduling, inspecting, testing, servicing, controlling, and programming various College systems, including HVAC mechanical equipment, lighting controls, fire alarms, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance and repairs on College infrastructure and systems
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Service and control HVAC mechanical equipment, lighting controls, fire alarms, and other related systems
  • Program and configure equipment to meet College requirements
  • Collaborate with College staff to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and fire alarms
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
