General Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Technician to join our team at White Pond Villa, a senior-living community in Akron, OH. As a General Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of our community, including the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and leasing office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with and attend resident retention initiatives, such as resident functions, promotions, and monthly newsletters.
  • Preserve and respect resident, applicant, employee, and company confidentiality.
  • Report for site emergency duties, such as flood, winter weather, as requested by management.
  • Maintain the overall attractiveness of the property, taking initiative as needed to keep the property looking professional and appealing to current and potential residents, owners, investors, and lenders.
Ongoing Work Orders/Projects and Preventive Maintenance:
  • Consistently maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the property, including the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and leasing office.
  • Report any maintenance or physical property needs to the Property Manager and/or lead maintenance personnel for work order input.
  • Responsible for handling, completing, and documenting all assigned service requests/work orders, ensuring that our residents' maintenance needs are met properly, quickly, thoroughly, and professionally.
Make Ready:
  • Assist in preparing vacant apartments for occupancy.
  • Assist in trash out and clean out of food, furniture, appliances, and other debris within assigned vacant unit.
  • Report any additional maintenance needs, including repairs or replacements.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Apartment community experience preferred.
  • Multilingual a plus.
  • Strong customer service philosophy with a CAN-DO attitude.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
