Job Summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician to join our team. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoked potential (EP) procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG and EP procedures in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify potential risks and ensure safe and effective care.
  • Stock and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic program or associate's degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in performing END procedures in a patient care environment or successful completion of all clinicals required by an approved Electroneurodiagnostic program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in a science-related field.
  • Experience with EEG and EP procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of digital equipment and electrical safety principles.
