Electroencephalogram Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technician to join our team at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South. As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing various non-invasive cardiovascular and neurological procedures, including EEG, EKG, and Holter monitor hookups. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care and ensure accurate test results.
Responsibilities- Perform EEG, EKG, and Holter monitor procedures in a pediatric setting
- Collect and analyze patient data, including medical history and current symptoms
- Operate and maintain equipment, including EEG and EKG machines
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide patient education and support throughout the testing process
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of Medical Assistant Program or one year of career-oriented college credits preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in performing EEG in a clinical setting required; 6 months experience with EKG/Stress testing preferred
- BLS certification required; EKG or EEG certification within one year of hire
CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South is a 158-bed hospital located in south Corpus Christi, Texas. We offer a full range of medical and surgical services, including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, and intensive care. Our hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which enables recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies.
