The Disassembly, Clean, and Inspect (DCI) Technician plays a critical role in the repair process at Flowserve Corporation. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and mechanical aptitude to methodically teardown and document rotating equipment for repair.
Key Responsibilities- Work safely and effectively with colleagues to ensure a safe working environment
- Follow pre-job briefs and checklists to ensure accurate disassembly and inspection
- Accurately set up and read precision measuring instruments to inspect equipment components
- Document the condition of components and record inspection results
- Communicate clearly with production planners and customers to discuss equipment conditions
- Utilize precision measuring and inspection tools to measure equipment dimensions
- Able to complete all related documentation associated with the disassembly process
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General mechanic skills and experience working with rotating equipment
- Able to read and interpret prints, shop drawings, and assembly checklists
- Basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- 1+ years of general mechanical experience
- Certification of trade school training may be accepted in lieu of experience
- Knowledge of service environment activities including DCI, machining, assembly, test, and field service for rotating equipment
