Position Overview

As a Batch Software Engineer (UNIX/C/UI/.NET) at Gainwell, you will play a crucial role in utilizing technology to assist our clients in improving the health and well-being of the communities they serve. Your Contributions to Our Mission

Utilize your expertise to support Gainwell in enabling clients to achieve superior health and human services outcomes.

  • Support Gainwell in delivering enhanced health and human services outcomes.
  • Engage as a member of development teams; may lead smaller teams.
  • Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to established standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of developed solutions to ensure high-quality, bug-free software.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues reported by users or identified during testing.
  • Optimize deployment processes and ensure system reliability.
  • Contribute to the documentation of design, coding, and testing activities.
  • Design units for others and complete development for complex solution components.
  • Participate in design activities; may design solutions.
  • Develop independently; engage in code reviews and may lead such reviews.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
  • Apply extensive technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g., Web Development).
  • Utilize company and third-party technologies to create software solutions of moderate complexity.
  • Independently implement end-user or enterprise solutions prepared by senior technologists for more complex solutions.
Qualifications We Seek
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer with batch programming expertise in UNIX/C.
  • Some familiarity with UI/UX Development using C#, ASP.NET, web service development, and APIs.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues related to Windows server and IIS.
  • Familiarity with MVC and Entity Framework maintenance.

  • Fully remote opportunity with the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.
  • Potential travel opportunities through your work (0-10%).
  • Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule to meet business needs and travel requirements.
  • Video cameras must be utilized during all interviews and the initial week of orientation.

The compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, with the actual base pay varying based on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
