Job Overview

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Technician II to join our team. As a Telecom Technician II, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, including voice and data communications systems, administration and configuration of communication network systems, and power systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of telecommunications equipment, including multiplexer equipment, VHF/UHF tactical radios, microwave data links, remote link monitoring systems, transmitters, receivers, antennas, and feed line systems.
  • Assist with the installation of LAN/WAN equipment, wiring, and topography, including routers, hubs, and network switches.
  • Document maintenance actions in IEMS and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years' experience in telecommunications and range scoring system installation and maintenance.
  • Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy 'C' School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training.
  • DOD Network Security training.
  • Tower climbing training.
  • Security + or similar IAT II certification.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
