Job Title: Primary Care Physician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, providing counseling and education to patients and their families
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, and prescribe medications and treatments as needed
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary, and document progress notes and summaries
  • Participate in patient care rounds and conferences, and communicate patient management strategies to the care team
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful patient care outcomes
Core Competencies:
  • Critically analyze data and evidence to improve clinical practice
  • Integrate knowledge from the humanities and sciences to inform practice decisions
  • Translate research and other forms of knowledge to improve practice processes and outcomes
  • Develop new practice approaches based on the integration of research, theory, and practice knowledge
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
  • Valid DEA license
