We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Engineer to join our team at Stefanini Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and infrastructure to support our enterprise-level operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, deploy, and manage Linux-based systems and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the planning and implementation of system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal system operation.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline and enhance operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux solutions with other enterprise systems and applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met through regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical system issues.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in managing and supporting enterprise-level Linux systems.
- Must have 7 years of hands-on experience with Veritas Version 8 and InfoScale version 8.
- Strong expertise in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
- Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
- Experience with storage solutions and backup technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC).
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and methodologies.
Pay Range: $78.00
