The LPN II is a key member of our healthcare team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, implementing nursing care for assigned patients with a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes. The LPN II assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care, utilizing advanced skills in patient care after education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the RN in the assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Utilize advanced skills in patient care, including IV therapy and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical expertise.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent.
- Thirty (30) hour IV certification.
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Licenses and Certifications:
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR.
- FL LPN: Florida Licensed Practical Nurse.
Work Schedule:
This is a 4-day/week opportunity, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with one day off per week.
