About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in the Washington DC area. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in advancing clinical practice within the assigned territory, leading to improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Expertise: Build strong scientific acumen and serve as a primary point of contact for medical and scientific inquiries in HIV treatment and prevention.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with external experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Clinical Insights: Gather and relay insights from the field to inform product development, clinical trial design, and market strategies.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver scientific presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a role model of ViiV's culture and values, mentoring and coaching new or less experienced MSLs.
  • Safety Communication: Disseminate important safety information to healthcare professionals as directed by Medical Affairs or Research and Development teams.
  • Agility and Adaptability: Interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including external experts, healthcare professionals, investigators, professional societies, advocacy groups, and formulary decision-makers.
Requirements
  • Advanced Degree: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or APP
  • 3+ Years of Clinical Experience: In HIV
  • Stakeholder Management Experience: Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals
  • Valid Driver's License: Ability to travel (40-60% by car and plane domestic)
