Physician Assistant

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our vascular surgery program.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including preoperative and postoperative care, consultations, and hospital rounds.
- Assist in the management of patients with vascular diseases, including aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, and venous disease.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Perform routine procedures, such as injections, immunizations, and suturing, as well as more complex procedures, such as dialysis catheter placement and bone marrow aspirations.
- Participate in medical team rounds, collaborate with nursing and other healthcare team members, and ensure continuity of care.
- Refers patients to specialists as appropriate and facilitates appropriate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Graduate of an accredited APRN program or a Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in applicable state(s).
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by a nationally accredited organization recognized by state Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (AHA); or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) may be required based upon work setting.
- Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states.
- Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
