The Process Improvement Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing productivity and cost efficiency by proposing and executing modifications to optimize system and personnel performance. This position may involve diverse projects such as supply chain analysis, process enhancement, and the integration of material handling systems and technological advancements aimed at achieving operational excellence in alignment with Agiliti's objectives.
The Process Improvement Engineer may engage in client-facing tasks, including requirements assessment, RFQ evaluations, SOW development, process design, and standardization, as well as workflow and labor analysis for biomedical and asset management teams at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Analyze and refine work methods to determine the most efficient execution of service center operations.
2. Enhance processes by leveraging knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; collaborating with equipment suppliers; and gathering insights from operators.
3. Develop processes by examining product specifications; researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment; and consulting with equipment vendors.
4. Lead Six Sigma (DMAIC) initiatives to enhance field and corporate processes.
5. Facilitate Kaizen events to implement process improvements.
6. Design service center layouts and workstations that comply with Agiliti's safety and quality standards while optimizing material flow.
7. Provide engineering support for establishing accurate labor standards through time studies or equivalent methodologies.
8. Maintain comprehensive documentation of standards and methods, conduct scheduled audits, and ensure the accuracy of documentation reflecting business changes.
9. Offer engineering assistance to Agiliti operations at client sites, including requirements analysis, process and facility design, and ensuring adherence to client specifications.
10. Support the Operations team in enhancing resource utilization (both direct and indirect labor, equipment, space, etc.).
11. Provide technical guidance for improvements in material handling systems.
12. Monitor and maintain a thorough understanding of variables affecting key performance indicators, contributing insights and support to achieve targets.
13. Assist in cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering.
- 0 to 3 years of engineering experience.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing workstation design, testing, and inspection methods.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, distribution networks, logistics, CAD layout designs, and automation of material handling is advantageous.
- Project management experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Proficient in MS Excel (including Macros), MS Access, VBA, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
