About the Role

The Park School is seeking a dedicated and experienced After-School Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our After-School Program, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging lessons and activities for students in the Lower and Upper Divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social-emotional development and academic growth.
  • Guide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining expectations and support for positive and productive student behavior.
  • Actively engage and interact with ASP students, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Regularly communicate with families, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and development.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience teaching, preferably in Early Childhood education.
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing support to students and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Experience integrating academic technology into classroom teaching and designing daily age-appropriate activities.
  • Classroom management and communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30-minute periods.
  • The ability to traverse on and across variable surfaces.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and accompany students to all areas of the school campus.
  • The ability to position oneself to support students.
  • The ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
  • The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
  • The ability to occasionally transport 25 lbs.
