Job Overview

The Gathering Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in the management and upkeep of a pipeline gathering network, aiming to reduce downtime and ensure optimal system pressures while addressing producer needs promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee system shutdowns, maintain line pressures, and manage lockout/tagout procedures, hydrate mitigation, excavation tasks, and dew point monitoring.
  • Facilitate construction tie-ins, ensuring adherence to lockout/tagout protocols, as well as purging and packing of pipelines.
  • Collect precise data and prepare daily operational reports.
  • Ensure maintenance of pipeline right-of-ways and execute all related operational duties.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain high-pressure pipelines, valves, regulators, and associated instrumentation in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Supervise the storage and transfer of pipeline liquids; monitor and assess pipeline encroachment.
  • Act as a representative of the company, engaging with stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of consistent work experience in the energy sector.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the capability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, compile reports, and utilize basic computer software.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Willingness to work overtime and relocate as necessary.
  • Self-driven, collaborative team member eager to learn.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and reliability.
  • Excellent customer relations skills and adaptability to various working conditions.
