Position Overview

At Dyania Health, we offer interns the opportunity to innovate and implement advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies aimed at revolutionizing clinical trial methodologies. Interns will leverage large pretrained language models to scrutinize clinical text data and extract valuable insights. This role presents a wide array of compelling research inquiries, and you will be expected to compose a paper encapsulating your findings for submission to a prestigious NLP conference. You will collaborate with team members possessing extensive technical knowledge in NLP and machine learning, alongside esteemed medical professionals including MDs and PhDs in pharmacology.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (preferably pursuing a PhD) in disciplines such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Bioinformatics.
  • Hands-on experience in training and assessing transformer models utilizing Python-based machine learning frameworks and libraries like PyTorch and HuggingFace.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in Bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with parallelizing training and inference for large models using tools such as DeepSpeed.
  • Published works in leading NLP conferences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, assess, and implement algorithms and models to effectively extract medical information from both structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and communicate your analyses to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage in research activities and disseminate your findings at appropriate scientific platforms.
