COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hourly wage for this position is $37.40. Compensation is determined by various factors including market conditions, educational background, work experience, and certifications. ROLE OF GENERAL MERCHANDISE

The General Merchandise and Food Sales team is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for guests by managing product availability, pricing accuracy, and presentation on the sales floor. This team oversees various operational processes, including inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and promotional activities, ensuring a fresh and safe food experience for our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a guest-first culture by demonstrating exceptional service standards.
  • Implement daily and weekly tasks to achieve sales goals and enhance guest engagement.
  • Assist in understanding how operational procedures impact inventory accuracy and profitability.
  • Empower team members to deliver a consistent guest experience by identifying and addressing operational gaps.
  • Support the execution of various processes related to inventory management and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with closing teams to prioritize tasks and ensure store readiness.
  • Develop and maintain a scheduling plan based on business needs and guest traffic.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and contribute to team onboarding and training.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for team members, holding them accountable.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lead and hold team members accountable.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to operate technology as needed.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Welcoming and helpful demeanor.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Access all areas of the store to address team or guest concerns.
  • Interpret various reports and instructions accurately.
  • Handle cash register operations when necessary.
  • Be able to climb ladders and lift merchandise safely.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.
