GENERAL MERCHANDISE OVERVIEW
Our team specializes in operations, processes, and efficiency, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests by maintaining product availability, accurate pricing, and proper signage on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team manages inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and promotional activities across all General Merchandise areas. This team also oversees Food & Beverage and Food Service, ensuring a fresh and safe experience for our customers.
ROLE OF A GENERAL MERCHANDISE TEAM LEADER
The General Merchandise Team Leader role offers valuable experiences and skills, including:
- Building a guest-first culture through exemplary service.
- Understanding retail fundamentals such as sales trends, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
- Planning daily and weekly workloads to meet business objectives.
- Implementing process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Developing and mentoring a team of hourly team members.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the execution of various operational processes across General Merchandise areas.
- Work with closing teams to ensure the store is prepared for guests.
- Create a scheduling plan that aligns with business needs and guest traffic.
- Support team onboarding and development through effective training.
- Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
