Pediatric Clinical Faculty

Smith Chason College is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Clinical Faculty to join our nursing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our ADN nursing program.
Responsibilities:- Support the mission of Smith Chason College by providing high-quality education and training to our students.
- Ensure course learning outcomes are aligned with program learning outcomes.
- Role model compassionate, patient-centered care and professionalism.
- Cooperate with department colleagues and treat members of the college community with respect and concern.
- Meet Board of Registered Nursing minimum qualifications.
- Work with the Lead Faculty to understand clinical objectives, clinical paperwork, and clinical assignments for students.
- Schedule a clinical site orientation with the Lead Faculty.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled clinical time to work with nursing staff on patient assignments for students.
- Complete the clinical assignment form and post it per nursing staff instruction.
- Provide direct supervision to students throughout the clinical learning experience.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field through professional meetings and literature.
- Complete continuing education courses that support course content.
- Attend and participate in department committee meetings.
- Participate in annual assessment reports and multi-year program review reports preparation.
Requirements:
- Three categories of faculty are available following CCR1425(c,d,e) regulatory requirements.
- Direct patient care experience within the previous five years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned.
- Completion of at least one year's experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or completion of a post-baccalaureate course.
Salary: $55.00-$60.00/hr
