Job Title: Physician Scientist Faculty Member in General Pediatrics

The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital seek a Physician Scientist faculty member in the Division of General Pediatrics. This is a full-time position at the rank of assistant or associate professor.



Responsibilities


  • Conduct research and engage in the teaching and clinical missions of the division, with a focus on research.
  • Develop and implement research projects, and secure funding to support research initiatives.
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and faculty members in the Division of General Pediatrics.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to advance the mission of the Division of General Pediatrics.


Qualifications


  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Strong background in research and scholarship, with a track record of impactful research and strong extramural funding.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in pediatrics, and licensure to practice medicine in California.
  • Training in health services research or implementation science research, with a focus on areas critical to child health.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.

The base salary range for this position is $127,000 - $253,112, and includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan.
