Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Application Engineer with expertise in Kotlin and Android Jetpack components.

Contract Duration:
6 months (with potential for extension)

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid model with onsite presence required every Wednesday in Chicago, IL.

$58/hr. c2c

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete application lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Develop fully functional mobile applications by producing clean and efficient code.
- Collect specific requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Implement unit and UI tests to detect issues.
- Diagnose and debug applications to enhance performance.
- Design user interfaces to elevate the user experience.
- Collaborate with the product development team to strategize new features.
- Ensure that both new and existing applications adhere to quality standards.
- Investigate and recommend new mobile products, applications, and protocols.
- Stay informed about emerging technology trends.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mobile Developer.
- A demonstrable portfolio showcasing released applications on the App Store or Google Play.
- Comprehensive knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Swift or Java.
- Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs.

Technical Skills (Android):
- Proficiency in Kotlin programming language.
- Experience with Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Knowledge of Android architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM).
- Familiarity with Gradle build system.
- Skills in custom view development and animations.
- Proficiency in debugging and profiling tools.
