Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities:- Deliver patient care that is safe, effective, and patient-centered, incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to prioritize care and manage assignments.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness, and addressing concerns and needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Perform charge nurse duties, coordinating with the Clinical Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Nursing Administrator to ensure efficient use of resources and supplies.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned, with new graduates possessing current knowledge of the nursing process and its application.
- Basic Life Saver (BCLS) certification, with additional certifications in NRP, ACLS, and PALS.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team, communicate effectively, and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.
